Ralspeed have been manufacturing motor control systems since the early 1980’s. Ralspeed was formed by husband and wife team, Peter & Patricia Schaffel. Peter is the Managing Director and Pat is the Financial Director.

Daughter, Deborah Rooney, also a Director, is responsible for the smooth running of the office, the ISO9001 Quality System and the web-site.

Simon Finlay, also a Director, has been with the company since leaving school and is a very respected and highly technical member of our team. He is probably, along with Peter, one of the most knowledgeable people in the UK on soft starters and their various uses. He also is fully trained and certified for Vacon and Hitachi Inverters.

Ralspeed operate from their premises in Blackburn, Lancashire and as such are in the heart of the UK. Distribution of product is helped by our location and we can easily service customers from here.  Should you require a map then please visit our enquiry page.
